KP Astrology Health Deep Dive: 1st & 6th Cusp Sub Lords

Health is the life area where honesty about limits matters most. A KP astrology health reading cannot diagnose, and it should not pretend to. What the KP Health Deep Dive does is judge every health rule that classical KP writing actually states — general health from the 1st cusp, cure of disease from the 6th, discharge from hospital from the 4th — and list the Vimshottari dasha periods across the next three years that can deliver the promised ones.

Which Cusps Decide Health in KP Astrology

KP does not read "health" as one thing. Each health matter has its own deciding cusp and its own set of required houses, taken from a compiled table of classical KP writing. Nothing is inferred — a matter the writing does not cover is refused, not guessed.

• General health — 1st cusp. Promised when the 1st cuspal sub lord signifies house 1 or 11. Classical KP names houses 6, 8 and 12 as adverse to this matter.
• Cure of disease — 6th cusp. Promised when the 6th cuspal sub lord signifies house 1, 5 or 11. The 6th cusp carries both sides of the same matter — the illness and its cure — so the report reads it once, naming both sides' houses, never as two contradicting rows.
• Discharge from hospital — 4th cusp. Promised when the 4th cuspal sub lord signifies house 2, 4 or 11.

The 8th and 12th cusps are not read on their own for a named illness in an unsolicited report: the report treats disease-onset, accident and surgery rules as a class you must ask for directly. The Deep Dive states the adverse houses and leaves those matters to a question you choose to ask.

How the Cuspal Sub Lord Is Read

The sub lord of the deciding cusp is read at three levels: the planet itself, its star lord, and its sub lord. At each level the report collects the houses that planet occupies and owns. Three steps, not four.

Then the promise test: if the sub lord signifies any one of the required houses, the matter is PROMISED — even when it also signifies adverse houses. It is NOT PROMISED only when the sub lord is connected to adverse houses exclusively. The Deep Dive walks through this chain in plain English so you can see which planet is doing what.

Adverse Houses: Stated, Never Subtracted

Classical KP writing names the adverse houses for each matter separately. For health they are 6, 8 and 12. The report does not derive an adverse set mechanically from the favourable houses, and it never scores or cancels a promise against them. When the 1st cuspal sub lord signifies house 1 alongside house 8, the verdict is "promised, with difficulty" — the difficulty is stated, the promise stands.

The Body-System Map

Classical KP assigns body systems to each planet. This is general theory, useful for reading your own chart, and the report does not turn it into a diagnosis:

• Sun — heart, spine, bones, eyesight.
• Moon — stomach, lungs, body fluids.
• Mars — blood, muscles, head, acute conditions.
• Mercury — nervous system, skin, speech.
• Jupiter — liver, pancreas, metabolism.
• Venus — reproductive system, kidneys, throat.
• Saturn — joints, teeth, chronic patterns.
• Rahu — unusual or systemic conditions, toxic exposure.
• Ketu — viral and unexplained chronic conditions.

In KP the house signification decides; a planet's body rulership only supports the reading. The Deep Dive names the planets in the sub lord chain and what they occupy and own — it does not tell you which organ will fail.

Timing: Which Dasha Periods Deliver

The bulk of the report is timing, and it uses a deliberately stricter test than the promise. A Vimshottari period — Maha, Antar and Pratyantar — delivers a promised matter only when its lords jointly signify all the houses that time it, each lord supplying a different house, with the Maha lord signifying at least one. Promise takes any one house; delivery takes all of them.

For cure of disease the timing houses are 1, 5 and 11. The report checks every period across a three-year horizon and lists the ones that meet the bar in time order, unranked. There is no "strongest" window, no percentage and no single date — KP writing states no priority among fruitful significators, so the engine does not invent one.

Inside a delivering period, the report reads the Sun's transit against the running Maha-Antar lords for agreement, and the Moon's for periods of days. A day qualifies when that body's sign, star and sub lords are all among the period lords. Several candidate days per period, unranked. Transit corroborates; it never decides.

Rules Given in More Than One Form

Classical KP writing gives the general-health rule and the cure rule in more than one form. The Deep Dive judges every form on your chart and states whether they agree — "KP gives this rule in more than one form; three of four forms promised on this chart" — rather than quietly picking the one that reads best.

Birth-Time Sensitivity

KP timing turns on the minute. For every cusp it reads, the report states how many minutes your recorded birth time could move before that cusp's sub lord changes. A verdict that survives a fifteen-minute error is a different thing from one that flips at two minutes, and you should know which you have.

Birth-time sensitivity: the 6th cusp sub lord holds for 11 minutes either side of the recorded time.

What the Report Refuses

• No longevity or death timing, ever.
• No named disease and no onset date in an unsolicited report.
• No gemstones, mantras or rituals, no "avoid exertion" advice, no surgery dates.
• No matter that classical KP writing does not cover.

When to Order a Health Deep Dive

Order it when:

• You are recovering from an illness and want the dasha periods in which classical KP says a cure can deliver.
• You have a recurring pattern and want to see whether the 1st cuspal sub lord promises general health at all — and with what difficulty.
• You are entering a new dasha and want the health rules judged across the next three years.
• A family member's chart concerns you and you want the same verdicts for their profile — profiles are unlimited.

Do not order it when:

• You expect a medical diagnosis. Astrology cannot replace a doctor.
