What is KP Astrology?
Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) is a stellar (nakshatra-and-sub) system of astrology developed by the late Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti. Unlike sign-based astrology that relies on broad planetary positions alone, KP astrology uses a precise sub-lord and cuspal-link methodology — widely regarded among practitioners as one of the most timing-focused predictive systems in modern astrology.
KP astrology uses a refined analysis system that goes beyond conventional broad-position methods. The cuspal sub lord, significators and dasha-period logic aims for greater event-timing precision than sign-and-house placement alone.
Why KP Astrology Pro?
Calculated, Not Estimated
Planet positions from the Swiss Ephemeris, the KP New ayanamsa, and Placidus cusps worked out from your exact birth time and place.
A Rule Engine, Then a Writer
Every verdict is decided by a KP rule engine: the cusp that rules a matter, its sub lord read at three levels, the promise test, and the dasha periods whose lords jointly cover the required houses. A language model then writes the reading from those tables — it rephrases the engine's findings and adds nothing of its own.
Vimshottari Dasha Timing
We time events by the Vimshottari Dasha — Maha, Antar and Pratyantar periods whose lords jointly cover the required houses, with the Sookshma (micro-period) level where a period needs it.
Complete Life Area Analysis
Every planet's influence is computed using strict KP rules for a comprehensive analysis of the matters our KP birth-chart rules cover — career, marriage, children, health, wealth, property, higher education and exams, foreign travel and visas, legal matters, and more, each grounded in the Cuspal Sub-Lord doctrine.
How KP Differs from Traditional Astrology
| Feature | Regular kundli | KP Astrology Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Houses | Whole signs | Placidus cusps from your exact birth time and place |
| Ayanamsa | Usually Lahiri | KP New |
| What decides a matter | House lords and placements | The sub lord of that house's cusp |
| Event Timing | Broad dasha periods | Maha, Antar and Pratyantar periods whose lords cover the required houses |
So your KP chart can place a planet one house away from your kundli. Why that's expected →
About the founder
KP Astrology Pro was founded by a software engineer after several years of studying the Krishnamurti Paddhati system. The platform exists because reliable KP analysis was, until recently, locked inside a small circle of practitioners writing notes by hand. The founder built the rule engines (Ask a Question readings take most of their rules from cited KP Ezine issues and pages, the rest from KP house groupings in the site's earlier rule set; Day, Monthly, Annual and Deep Dive reports use that earlier rule set) and shipped the result as the English-language KP platform you're reading now.
Our Mission
KP Astrology Pro was built to bring Krishnamurti Paddhati's cusp-and-sub-lord method to everyone. We believe that with the right technology, the deep wisdom of KP astrology can be made accessible, clear and beautifully presented — helping people make informed decisions about their lives.
