Free KP Astrology Tools
Four precision calculators — no signup, no credit card, no AI credits used.
Each tool below runs on the same calculation engine that powers our paid AI readings — Swiss Ephemeris for planetary positions, the Krishnamurti Paddhati 249 sub-divisions for sub-lord allocation, and the Vimshottari dasha system for timing. The output is identical to what a professional KP astrologer would compute by hand, just faster.
Use them for chart verification, learning the KP system, or as a starting point before ordering a 4,000-word AI Deep Dive.

Why These Tools, Specifically
Most free astrology calculators online compute a Western tropical chart — useful for sun-sign astrology, useless for KP. The KP system requires:
- Sidereal (not tropical) longitudes — calculated using a specific ayanamsa (KP New is the modern standard).
- Placidus house cusps — not Equal House or Whole Sign.
- Sub-lord allocation across 249 sub-divisions — the foundation of every KP prediction.
- Vimshottari dasha down to Sookshma or Prana — for event-precision timing.
The four tools above expose each layer in isolation so you can verify a chart, look up a sub-lord, check an ayanamsa value, or trace a dasha sequence — without the noise of a full AI report.
When You Need More Than the Calculator
The tools tell you what the chart says. They do not tell you what it means — that's what the AI Deep Dive reports do. If the question is "is my career promised?", "when will I get married?", or "is the dasha running supportive of a financial decision?", then the chart calculator alone is not enough. You need the 7-layer probability engine that runs Grade A/B/C/D significators, Cuspal Interlink Theory, Four Step Theory, and the Sookshma-level event timing.
That's the paid product. Start with a free account (2 lifetime AI readings, no card required) and trial the difference between a static chart and a synthesised reading.
Common Questions
Are these tools really free? What is the catch?
Yes — entirely free, no signup, no API key, no rate limit beyond the standard fair-use limits. The catch is that the tools compute the chart but do not interpret it. Interpretation requires our AI engine, which uses paid AI credits and runs on the user-account flow.
How do I know the calculations are accurate?
The engine uses Swiss Ephemeris (the gold-standard astronomical library used by professional astrologers worldwide) for planetary positions, with KP New ayanamsa for the sidereal conversion. Sub-lord allocation uses the canonical 249-segment table from Krishnamurti Paddhati. Output matches authoritative KP software (KPStarOne, Jagannatha Hora) to arc-second precision.
Can I use these for professional client work?
Yes — the calculations are accurate for professional use. For higher-volume usage (50+ charts per day) or white-label PDFs with your branding, the Astrologer plan includes those features.
Which ayanamsa do you use by default?
KP New ayanamsa (modern Krishnamurti) is the default for the Birth Chart and Dasha calculators. The Ayanamsa Converter shows all four common ayanamsa values side-by-side for any date so you can compare or convert.
Do these tools store my birth data?
No. The tools accept your input, compute the chart server-side, return the result, and forget. We don't log or store birth data submitted to the public tool endpoints. (Authenticated users can save profiles in their account dashboard if they want chart persistence.)
Learn the System
If you want to understand what the calculator output means before ordering a reading, these guides walk through the foundational concepts:
- What is KP Astrology? — the system in plain English.
- What is a Sub-Lord? — the single concept that distinguishes KP from every other astrology system.
- The 249 Sub-Divisions Explained — how the KP zodiac is partitioned and why it matters.
- Sign Lord, Star Lord, Sub Lord — the three-layer rulership chain you'll see in every chart row.
- How to Read a KP Birth Chart — once the calculator gives you the data, how do you interpret it?
